Municipal Elections Slated
For Tuesday November 5th
Spend just a few minutes watching the news on television or surfing the internet and you might swear that the presidential election was just around the corner, not still over a year away. However, before we even get into the primary season in the battle for the White House, there are races right here at home that will be decided on Tuesday November 5th, races that have a huge impact on our daily lives. 2019 is a municipal election year with township, borough, city and county level offices, along with school directors on the ballot.
Offices up for election include County Commissioners, Treasurer, Register & Recorder, and Auditor. All townships have at least one supervisor and one auditor on the ballot while the boroughs of Ridgway and Johnsonburg, along with the City of St. Marys will have multiple council positions up for vote.
Democrats across the county need to get out and vote to help return a Democratic majority to the Commissioners office as well as hold our seats in contested races for Treasurer, Register & Recorder and Auditor. Voters can learn more about our candidates by clicking their profile links below.
